This was the very first top I ever designed.

At the time, I wasn’t trying to create something overly complicated or technical; I wanted something that felt approachable. A piece that looked chic and elevated, but didn’t feel intimidating to make.

Because getting started is the hardest part.

I remember how overwhelming it can feel to go from sewing simple projects to actually making something you’d wear out into the world. So I designed this top to bridge that gap - to be the piece that makes you think, “wait… I can actually do this.”

The asymmetrical neckline gives it that slightly unexpected, fashion-forward feel, while the construction stays simple and beginner-friendly.

And once you make it, you realize it’s the kind of piece that fits seamlessly into your wardrobe.
