This form fitting knit vest has a simple, timeless design featuring 1x1 ribbing around the neckline and armholes. Its’ length hits right below the bellybutton. You’ll knit this vest from the bottom up and then knit the upper front and the upper back separately. Next, you’ll sew the front to the back. Then, you’ll add 1x1 ribbing to the neckline and armholes. Then, you’ll finish with the Italian Bind Off Method for the neckline and armhole ribbing for a stretchy finish. Lastly, block it for its final fit.
Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL
Yarn weight: Bulky
I used Cascade Yarns ‘128 Superwash Merino Wool’ in Color: 303 Toffee
Needles:
Size US7/4.50mm, 25in circular (32 or 40in for XL-5XL)
Size US6/4mm, 16in circular
Gauge: 14 stitches x 14 rows = 4in/10cm (in stockinette stitch and blocked) with US7/4.50mm needles
