The Buttercup Top - Knitting Pattern
The Buttercup Top features 4x3 ribbing around the fold-over turtleneck neckline and bottom edge. You’ll knit this top from the bottom up and then knit the upper front and the upper back separately. Next, you’ll join the front and back with additional stitches to form the neckline. Then, you’ll add 3x4 ribbing to the neckline (so when folded over, it’s 4x3). Lastly, you’ll finish with a stretchy bind off. No need to block as 100% alpaca hangs over time. If you’d like less hang, opt for an alpaca wool blend yarn.

Yarn: 300g (325g) 350g (375g) 425g (475g) 500g (525g) 550g of Cascade Yarns Baby Alpaca Chunky Yarn in Color: 674 (Chamomile) - Bulky
Needles: US7/4.50mm, 25in circular (32 or 40in for XL-5XL) + US10.5/6.5mm, 25in circular (32 or 40in for XL-5XL)
Gauge: 14 stitches x 20 rows = 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch with US10.5/6.50mm needles
