The Best High Waisted, Wide Leg Black Trouser for Fall

Once you wear trousers, you can’t go back.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect trouser that doesn’t compromise on price or quality this season. And year after year, I keep coming back to these ones.

They are the Abercrombie Tailored Wide Leg Pant and they are to die for! Let me give you the low-down but also, make sure to watch my try-on review at the bottom of this page afterward.

They come in seven colors: black, navy, taupe, beige, light brown, dark brown and grey. They also come in three lengths: short, regular and long.

Let’s talk about measurements. The high-waisted inseam measures 12.5 inches. The short inseam is 28”. The regular inseam is 30”. And lastly, the long inseam is 32”.

For reference, I am 5’5, 109 lbs, and the XS fits me perfectly.

Besides the flattering high waist, the trousers also feature a flowy, wide leg. This kind of leg looks amazing with sneakers, loafers, and boots.

I’ve received a lot of questions about how they compare to Aritzia’s Melina Pant.

For starters, Abercrombie’s trousers are $90, have a size range of XXS-XXL, come in 3 lengths, and they’re 64% polyester. Aritzia’s trousers are $148, have a size range of 00-16, come in 3 lengths, and they’re 100% polyester. They’re also a thinner material than Abercrombie’s pants and have a tad bit of a more structured leg.

So, personally, Abercrombie is the winner here and what I’d recommend to you.

Now, these are really popular and you might see them out of stock when you first try to buy them. Make sure to check every day because they restock fairly quickly!
